Sea Song Belly Dance

You’re going to want to feel like the most graceful and exotic you that you can be!  Most belly dancers wear a fitted tank or t-shirt, so that you can feel and see your moves better, and something that is easy to move in on the bottom.  A long, flowing skirt or flowing pants – will make you feel good.  Pretty much anything goes except jeans; you want to be able to feel your butt jiggle!

A coin belt or hip scarf with coins is recommended.  The added sound and weight will make it easier to hear and feel the moves – plus they just make you feel beautiful!  These typically range $35 - $80, or make your own!  Remember, this is your time to be free and as imaginative as you want! 

 The Hollywood starlets that introduced the majority of us to the cabaret style of belly dance continue to influence the costuming; sequins, chiffon, beading...  So go ahead and start digging for anything glittery and fun!
